Secret Garden

Plein air painting with my New York friend Christine McBryan it started to rain. I found the perfect place to paint inside the greenhouse in the beautiful garden of Chanticleer in Wayne PA. I walked around admired the garden and only had time to paint one painting but I got photographic reference of beautiful flowers. I plan on painting these beauties when the weather isn't so pretty outside. I had a great time walking the Chanticleer when it wasn't a shower.
I really felt like I was in a secret garden.

Family Roses

This is the little daily painting study.

This came from the small study painting. This painting is on marine plywood and is 4 x 7 feet, with a 1 x 4 board used as a frame and painted green.

These roses in front of my studio is where I got the idea to paint the large rose painting on my front porch.
These roses were my Great Grandmother's, my Grandmothers, my Daddy and finally are mine. These bushes have be up rooted replanted and grown from grafts several time over the last 130 years. How cool is that.

Paintings are a study of our environment, our lives. Painting is truly Life on Canvas, capturing a fleeing moment in time.

Abigail's Attitude

The first time this adorable happy go lucky 2 year-old child ever had an attitude.  This painting tells a story, Taking photographs is too stressful on a child so young.
I loved the composition and her body language.

Cayden

Children are our special gifts from God. Looking into a child sweet face of innocence refreshes our soul.
